Robin C. Westmiller, J.D. is an American author, journalist, and legal commentator whose work spans fiction, memoir, political commentary, and advocacy related to elder guardianship reform.

Raised in Ellenville, New York, she developed an early interest in journalism and broadcasting, working at local radio station WELV-AM/FM before continuing her studies in communications and media at the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in New York.

She earned her J.D. from the Southern California Institute of Law in 2007 where she was active in elder law and helping victims of guardianship/conservatorship abuse.

Westmiller has written extensively on the topic. Her nonfiction memoir, Rescuing Ruby: How I Rescued My Father from Greedy Cousins, Thieving Attorneys and the Florida Guardianship System, documents her family’s legal struggle involving conservatorship and elder care issues.

Writing under the pen name Raven West, she is the author of several novels, including Red Wine for Breakfast, First Class Male, Undercover Reunion and Vashti’s Daughter, blending elements of romance, mystery, and suspense.
